TLDR : Answer Summary
Opening a bank account at Kasikorn Bank with a Non-O 3-month visa can be straightforward, requiring minimal documentation. Users report generally positive experiences, with some stating it only took them about 35 minutes. Required documents often include a passport with the correct visa and, optionally, a Thai driver's license instead of a residency certificate. There may be a fee of around 300 baht for an ATM card, but the account opening itself is typically free. Comments indicate varied experiences at different branches, with some facing longer wait times.
have you got access login to the website homebanking too, or you only have the smartphone app to use for checking balance, transactions and stuff like that. How would you rate the homebanking website experience?

Great for you Kasikorn is always easy if you have nonO or work permit .....if you did have your thai licence you probably don't need the residency cert...the thai licence already have your address
payed 500 bahts for the residency certificate at immigration. The bank doesn't ask a minimum deposite but in 2 weeks I will put 800 000 bahts, a little more than 2 months before applying for the 12 month retirement visa, as immigration asks. Today, I put a small amount to test payments by scan, in a restaurant. Worked perfectly.
Great , i was just wondering about when to pay the

passeport, they asked to see my drivers licence and I needed a certificate for my address that the immigration département of my city made for 500 bahts.
he is in Phichit. There is almost never more than one or two people in the Immigration office there you walk in present the documents and they issue the resident certificate right then. It takes about 30 minutes.
sorry I don't fully understand the certificate thing. Do you have a registered address there in that city and local immigration office gave you the certificate based on that or how? Thank you
