Has anybody used the Online Visa Extension system?

I went to Pattaya Immigration this morning and I was informed they only do extension between 8:30 - 10:00. They check my paper work and told me to come back tomorrow. My current stamp expires tomorrow.

Edit: So far I haven't been able to login. I was able to log in and made all the way to the part about booking appointments, but they have nothing available EVER, I checked :)

EDIT

Arrive 7:30 AM, I was the third person in line. I was finished by 9:00AM.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the Online Visa Extension system in Thailand after experiencing issues at Pattaya Immigration, where they were told to return the next day for an extension. Despite attempting to log into the online system, they found no available appointments. Responses from the community suggested that the online system may only be functional in Bangkok and questioned the necessity of using it since a visit to immigration is still required for payment. Additionally, advice was given regarding rushing procedures when close to visa expiration.

You expiry will be midnight tomorrow.. Your paperwork is in order, get there early tomorrow...They could look for a problem that may be solved by 'incentives' knowing you've left it to the last day? But you should be fine...

It confusing. I have been there 2 weeks early and they tell me come back the last day.

I think getting the overstay is probably better than working with the Pataya immigration. If 'incentives' is what they wanted they should asked for it today. If tomorrow they ask for incentives - I will get the overstay and go Cambodia the day after.

I believe that the online extension only works for Bangkok - although I’m not 100% sure.

For me I see little point in doing it as you have to go to immigration anyway and you need to pay 500-5000 baht extra to do so.

The only reason I wanted to use it is because immigration told me to come back tomorrow, the day my stamp expires.

I showed up 10:00 am with all my paperwork (I was impressed with myself). They told me I had all my paperwork but the queue was full and they're not processing anymore today. Effectively Pattaya immigration only does extension between 8:30 and 10:00.

I go to great lengths not to use Pattaya immigration office.

But, I think your correct that the system doesn't work, at least in my case, I did't try Bangkok.

if you're staying in Pattaya you cannot "use" Bangkok as your TM30 is not filed there

Yeah Pattaya immigration is busy all the time. Best to get there before 8:30 to get a queue number. No idea when people actually start queuing there but a guess would be 7:30 or so.

I have done that in the past. Then I just started using agents. My passport is new so I was hoping to avoid using agents. The last time I got an extension (3 months ago), I was in and out within 45 minutes, no queue, no hassle. This time, its the same old place. They're busy but I think they intentionally make things difficult so people will use agents.. The 'no gratuity' policy hasn't worked in our favor.

Agents “grease the wheels that need to be greased” whether or not the time saving or ease of use is worth it to you is a personal preference.
