Anybody travel from the USA to Thailand recently?

I will going to Thailand, I think, Late January.

All roads to Thailand require Covid Insurance? I have health insurance from my company, will that work?

Is Thai-Pass necessary for all visa/exempt options?

Is "Special" tourist visa a pain to get? Would I be better off to get normal visa and hope land borders will be open in March/April?

It looks like everything is now 'e' visa stuff so I wont need to send paperwork, passport, or show any place in person?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about current travel requirements for a trip from the USA to Thailand in late January, specifically regarding Covid insurance, the necessity of the Thai Pass for different visa options, and the difficulty of obtaining a Special Tourist Visa compared to other visa types. Commenters confirm the need for Covid insurance, suggest the user's company health insurance might not be sufficient, and emphasize that a Thailand Pass is mandatory for all travelers regardless of visa type. They also advise that a Special Tourist Visa may be complex and recommend considering a different type of visa, possibly a regular tourist visa.

I came from the state's. Yes need Ins. Your work ins prob won't work. Everyone needs a Thai pass. Can get a 60 day tr visa online.STV is prob. More trouble then it's worth. Retire if your over 50

I am 47 and a half. Until recently, I never wanted to be 2.5 years older.

Did you get return flight? Do you need to show proof of onward travel?
