I'm on 60 days TR Visa and want to extend it for another 30 days. I'm in Pattaya and have read many horror stories about the condition of the immigration office and that it can take multiple visits. Is it a good idea to use an agent instead?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the experience of extending a 60-day TR visa by an additional 30 days while in Pattaya. There are mixed opinions on whether to use an immigration agent, with many commenters suggesting that a personal visit to the immigration office is sufficient for a straightforward tourist extension, despite reports of the office's condition causing delays or requiring multiple visits. Several commenters shared their personal experiences, noting that having the necessary paperwork ready is crucial for a smooth process.

Many reports of Pattaya immigration sending people away and telling them to return when they're within 2-3 days of the date their stay runs out.

it's crazy because many people had to visit 2-3 times to get it done. It's too stressful. I regret not doing it while I was in Bangkok.

I did mine easy as, make sure you have all paperwork and copies as required. Mine was less than an hour, I did do mine in Bangkok though.

would still need same paperwork, from what I seen at Bangkok those that had issues were the one,s that didn't have their paperwork that was required.

But agree all Immigration do what they want how they want

No need for agent. I went by myself.

Taking two visits is a rather mundane ‘horror story’.

well you can have a look at the reviews on Google map. Waiting hours outside in the heat, rude staff and messy queues are the common theme for all recent reviews. I'd rather use my time differently.

I haven't! I also read that there a lot of scamming going on in the name of immigration agency. If that's the case then I'll just swallow it and go for the outdoors sauna. Thanks for your help though.

that's the way it's expected except in Jomtien. My mistake I didn't do it in Bangkok while I was there.

No its a normal tourist extension no need for an agent

it's just the Jomtien centre that scares me otherwise I'm aware that it's a rather simple process.
