Hi. I know it’s mandatory to “update” one’s TM30 each time u reenter Thailand, even if was for quick trip — but how is this most efficiently achieved? Have any of you resourceful expats learned to both comply with but simplify the process? AND are there TM30 requirements related to traveling within the country — like if I were to spend a week staying at hotels up north, and then return home to Bkk? Thanks to all you posters!
Good morning quick question re TM30. I could well be wrong, I thought that if we left our rental villa went stayed in a hotel in Thailand when we returned to our villa we had to get our Landlord do our TM30 again? My mother is on her first 3 month retirement visa. The landlord said no! Happy to be wrong, just want to make sure we're doing everything by the book. TIA
I am married to a Thai person and we stay about 6 months in Thailand and the rest of the time in my country of residence. We normally break up these stays to periods of 2 to 3 months at a time. So we do quite a bit of traveling.
My question: is there any visa that I should apply for or should I just enter on a tourist visa?
I’m getting my work permit again HR told me to extend my visa on arrival this week even though it was stamped until March 6th, does anyone know what the reason might be for making it before it runs out? I officially start my new job March 1st.
I also went to Imm Building B for my last extension, but they sent me to the IT Square building instead, is that the norm now?
Before my 60day visa exemption expired I left the country for about 5 days. After returning to Thailand ,I see that expiration is tomorrow.
Do I now have to stand in line to get an extension, or can I just resume my casual vacation because the clock has been reset to the time I returned to Thailand?
Hi, I’m currently travelling around Thailand. Did my first couple of weeks in Phuket, then Koh Samui and now I’m bangkok. I got here on the 28th of October and I’m not looking to go home anytime soon but I have no clue what to do about visas or where to go!🥲 Can someone help me please would really appreciate some advice.
I work seasonally (May - October) so I'm unemployed currently (until May 2025) but I also have a rental property which I can show income for for the past couple of years.
I also have much more than the 500,000 baht needed in my bank account and have for years.
Is this enough to be considered for the workation option for the DTV? I'd rather not sign up for classes as I like to travel around thailand during my 6 months here per year.
