If I did not do my check-in at chonburi/pattaya - can I still use that office to transfer my visa stamp from old passport to new passport?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry concerns the ability to transfer a visa stamp from an old passport to a new one without having completed a check-in at the Chonburi/Pattaya office. The responses clarify that a visa cannot be transferred to a new passport; however, both passports can be used for travel until the visa in the old passport expires. It's advised to carry both passports when flying out.

When you go to fly out take BOTH passports and they'll stamp you out on the new one. You WILL have to enter and exit the country with BOTH passports until the METV in the old one expires, although you'll get stamped in-n-out and get extensions of stays in the new one.

As long as your METV is still valid you use both passport. a Visa can not be transferred to a new passport.

Yeah, I am not really sure. The lady with the service said I would have to pay to have in transferred. When I asked how much she said she didn't know.. Some times 200 sometimes 600. All-in-all it was worth it.

I used a visa service today to do the border-bounce.. They advised me I would have to transfer the stamp. I was able to transfer the stamp at the border - but I did have to bring the paper.

Just an FYI. Maybe my case was different

you did this once before when you LOST a passport, NOT when you got a new passport with a valid multi-entry visa in the old one.

You don't need to do anything but present both passports when you go for your next border bounce to get a new 60 day stamp.

I mean my current extension in my old/cancelled passport. Don't I have to have the stamp transferred?

I have done this once before. I lost a passport - got a new one and had to get the new one re-stamped (or whatever it's called).

This time I have my old passport with the stamp.. So I do I need to have it tranfered to the new passport (stamp, not sticker)? If I do have to have it transferred can I do it at the Pattaya immigration office - without a checkin slip?

And what extension of stay are you on
