Awesome Pro-tip.  Works in Pattaya and probably every other immigration office.

When you go to immigration and get your queue ticket, there is a QR code on that ticket.  If you scan that code and follow the instructions, you will download an app.  That app tells you your place in the queue.  

You no longer need to wait at immigration until your number is called.  In my case, my wait was about 90 minutes, I was free to go to breakfast, massage, beach, whatever.

That application also lets you make reservations for immigration but I couldn't get that part to work.  Nothing is perfect. 

Thank You Immigration for being pretty awesome sometimes.

this is the main immigration appointment booking site that works for the whole country (and yes you can MAKE them accept it at jomtien/pattaya if you have a spine) 😛

And that attitude (which you and thousands of foreigners have) is the reason those officers can get away with what they do. I've argued and gone toe-2-toe with officers trying to tell me an imaginary rule many MANY times.

IF you know what you're doing, IF you know how to do it, stand your ground.

Only ever been to the one in Patong and Phuket City. Both are just wait in line with no numbers.
