i was 52 of age and not retired yet, when I received my first "Permit of Stay based on retirement". And I am still not retired and just did the 12th extension . . 😉 .btw not hunting any sharks where I live in the Isaan backwater

some people may get confused by the phrase "retirement visa".. On the one hand it could mean that you have reached a certain age have financial independence and intend to spend time relaxing and enjoying life.. Or it could mean that you are fierce shark hunter and you've come to practice your trade.

please mind the terminology, just for the record. There is nothing such as a "retirement visa" to be had at any Thai immigration office. You got an "Extension of a permit of stay based on retirement" valid for one year

Thanks for the update, so it was a 30 day Extension of Stay on top of your 60 day admitted to stay you got when you entered with a Tourist Visa.
