TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the TM30 filing requirement in Thailand, specifically in Chonburi/Pattaya. Participants confirm that the 24-hour filing rule still stands, although there are anecdotes of leniency experienced by some individuals. A few mention updates to the forms, while others suggest preparing the forms in advance to alleviate stress during filing. Overall, it's highlighted that despite some flexibility noted by a few, it remains important to adhere to the mandatory filing within the stipulated time frame.

Luck of the draw.
I did my first ever tm30 last month and I've lived here 3 years . Last re entry was stamped July 2019..
Needed it for an extension.
Officer processed it. I had fine money in my hand and he said nevermind and didnt fine me.
Guess I got lucky. My 2 previous yearly extensions I wasn't asked for one. But I believe its mandatory to have a current one now to get any extension.
