I bought a one way ticket to Thailand from the USA. I didn't buy a return ticket because I don't know when I want to return.

I have heard of people having problems because they did not have a return ticket.

Has anyone had a problem due to getting a one way ticket?

Hi, Iā€™m moving to Thailand in January on a DTV. Iā€™m purchasing a one-way ticket because Iā€™m from the United States, but my family lives in other countries so I wonā€™t be returning back for quite a while. My Visa company said do not worry about a one-way ticket. Thatā€™s not an issue even though I have read differently. I also have a friend thatā€™s been on the DTV for about five months and has not had an issue with the one-way ticket. Either wanted to know if anybody else has advice or experience with this thank you so much.

Bit confused. Effective15 July 2024

If there is a possibility of 30 days extension, are the passport holders of the listed 94 countries allowed to enter with a return airline ticket of over 60 days but under 90 days?

Anyone had any experience with this? I rang the consulate and they said, ā€œ it should be okā€ but would rather be sure. I also went out the the airport last month to check with Thai Airways check in desk and was told no problems, but that was with one person at the desk who I forgot to write down his name.

I have been unable to find anything regarding this from official sites.

Just leaving US for Thailand. Wife is Thai. Flying Delta / Korea air.

1. Delta requested my visa, so fortunately I have an e-visa 90 days. Return ticket in January. Wife has no return ticket and they requested her visa, but instead accepted her Thai passport in place of return ticket.
