Is it too early to extend my Tourist Visa in Thailand before it expires?

My current Tourist Visa (60 days) expires August 6. Is it too soon to get the extension?

Also - anybody have the link to the most current form?

if you are applying for extension (on tourist visa), some immigration ask for proof of address, hotel, accommodation, if staying with friend's house). without proof, they will not let you extend your permission of stay (i know someone that was refused in Korat)

Most immigration offices you can apply for Extension of Stay 30 days before the last Admitted to Stay, Bangkok and Chang Mai it is 45 days and if busy Pattaya only do this 15 days before.
