Is there anyone here who applied for a one year NON O visa based on having a thai child and immigration did not ask for proof of income or 400,000 baht in their bank?? Someone told me immigration didn’t ask for any income requirements and gave them the visa. obviously it varies by offices and people. I just want to know if this has happened to more people?
Hi everyone! I’m looking for some advice from anyone who has successfully applied for a DTV Visa (Soft Power/Muay Thai track) through the Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv.
I’ve already secured all the documents from my gym in Bangkok (DBD, Camp License, and a 12-month Enrollment Letter) and I have strong financial proof (well over the 500k THB requirement).
I'm a bit nervous because I’ve heard about rejections in other embassies like Hanoi, so I wanted to ask:
1. Does anyone here have experience applying specifically in Tel Aviv for Muay Thai?
2. How strict are they compared to other locations?
3. If the documents are 100% complete, does it usually go smoothly, or should I expect a request for additional info?
I did not season the account. I transferred the money ~3 days before applying.
I did not use an agency.
I am not a freelancer: I am full time employed for over 2 years at the same job.
I submitted W2 statements, not my full prior 2 years taxes.
I drew a bright red box on the bank statements for my "income" transactions
I submitted my payroll statements for the past 6 months, all 12 of them :(
I work remotely for an international company that operates in Thailand (think Agoda, but not Agoda). There was no concerns from them about me needing to get a Thai work permit instead of DTV.
My employer let me generate a "This kid works remotely for us and earns $XXX/mo"
As an American, any important currency numb ers (like bank account totals or income letters), I converted to Thai Baht, so they would not be confused with SGD / HKD / etc which uses the same currency symbol, but is lower value (which could put you at risk for being below limits if misunderstood).
A update on my marriage Visa and leaving the Kingdom. The immigration official at Khon Kaen were a big help and fast track my application. I fly out tomorrow and got my Visa and reentry permit today. A big thanks to all at Khon Kaen immigration they are the best
