Hello everyone I've been in this group for a few years now but haven't frequented FB like I use to. We're finally making the move in July (visiting next month for 2 weeks to scope things out) but I'm getting in over my head about which visas to get for us (me, husband and 2 kids) i have my remote business so I think I can do the DTV, but I wanted us to learn thai at a school sp I was thinking the education visa, but I also have my masters and TEFL so I can teach english and get a work visa.... I wanted to actually relax for once and be work free and just enjoy my family for 3 months before going back to work but then I was reading that I have to apply for a work visa outside of Thailand? I was thinking do 3 months tourist visa and then apply for work visa...I feel like I'm making this harder than it needs to be. Just looking for some advice 🤗 thank you.
Thought this article was a good point of discussion.

So many people make it seem like Thailand's labor and immigration laws are crazy or out of the ordinary, when it couldn't be further from the truth.
"As long as you don't get paid, there's no law being broken"
"They won't care, everyone does it"
"I signed up through an organization who said it was okay"
The woman in the article signed up with "Workaway" to live with a family in the US and help around the house. In return she was fed and had a place to sleep. She then was going to do the same thing in Canada but was stopped when they found out what her plan was and denied entry, as that is considered work in Canada. When she was sent back to the US they took her into custody for working in the US, and now she is being held pending deportation.
Thailand's laws are not unusual in any way. Work is work, whether you are paid for it or not. If you are on a visa that is work restricted, you CANNOT work, you CANNOT volunteer, you CANNOT do anything that could be considered work in any way. You risk being arrested, banned and deported otherwise.
"How long does it generally take to get a work visa for Germany? My wife applied on February 19th. What is our estimate for how long the process will take to get the visa?"
To give some context, I work remotely for a company and I've applied for the DTV visa online. I received an email for additional documents which just made things confusing for me. They are asking me for the following (this is a literal copy and paste):
* 1.Please provide your resume and how to work remotely (signature and seal of the person in charge)
* 2.Please upload the proof of salary paid to you by the company and transferred to the bank and bank statement (need have holder name)
I'm not sure what is "how to work remotely". I provided my contract, employee certificate which is signed and company registration certificate.
I also provided a bank statement and statements from the company I work for the transfer they did to my bank account.
This is getting kinda frustrating and it looks scammy because of their bad English. There is also no way for me to contact them and reach out for more info. Anyone had a similar experience?
I’m 30 years old, I’ve worked in sales and then u switched my career of freelance in cybersecurity for different companies last 6 years. Since it’s 24*7 job I’ve lost control over my health. I’m trying to learn the sector of real estate. I don’t know what is the way and what exactly is the structure to go step wise. I apologise to write in This group because there many experts and experience people here.

I would like to teach English but I don’t have a bachelor degree only a TEFL Certificate. I’m not sure if I should go for a work visa or Educational visa. 🤷🏽♀️
And lastly, should I book a one way ticket if I plan to stay long term.✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Guys, I’m over the moon right now! 😭🎉 I finally got my visa today 4.40pm, January 17th! I started my application on Sunday, the 12th, in HMC, and after just one week, the long-awaited email arrived at 4:40 PM today! On Tuesday, they requested some additional details about my company (Workation with my own business), and that was it.
Thank you all so much for your help and support along the way! 🙏
Just reading on some different embassy sites about documents and i quote from Vientiane embassy" Copies of agency/school/institution/company documents must be signed by an authorized person and stamped with the agency/school/institution/company seal.
Does this mean any business number registration or letter head needs to be notarized by an embassy in home country or just have the letterhead stating its origin EG company letterhead
