that is exactly what has happened with us. I don't think it's enough money that that is the purpose... But I suspect they have quotas of something that they don't publish. The decision is absolutely made before you get there.
hey thanks for that bit of trivia. People all the time ask why we don't do it and my answer is "because I'll never live there again" and they seem dissatisfied. Good to know. Thank youm
Hey Mike, it's difficult to tell what you are actually worried about. Both marriage and retirement visa all you to stay "forever" but there are administrative obligations. It's not that big of a deal. Marriage visa is about 1 hour every 3 months plus annual paperwork. I think retirement might be a little easier. The elite visa might have let you avoid some of that, I'm not sure and I think it's gone.
Be careful with that plan. I spent my first year on a language visa and I get shit about it from immigration even now years later. It was used so extensively to game the system immigration does not like people with that on their record.
I am on marriage visa. DIY not agent. It was a big pain, but as people say it's a bit different at every office. For us it was critical to make friends with one of the officers and that was difficult because he had been a dick to me previously. But we got through it. My understand is that the monthly income option is only available after the first year. So you probably will need to use an agent or pay a bribe to get the initial visa then use your pension to maintain it in subsequent years. Feel free to PM me.
FFS there are hundreds? Well I guess it was smart to ask a group of people who travel which ones they've had success with so I don't need to waste my time for weeks right? You ask if I've heard of Google- have you heard of f$&k off you useless tw@t? It's what you do when you only have inane and unproductive things to comment. I hope you see this in the next minute because then I will block you and make my little corner of the world better. Have fun in Pattaya jackass.
