Still wrestling with the marriage visa thing. So, after you get the visa can you renew it indefinitely? Or do you do your 90 day check ins and then after a year you need to reapply for the marriage visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
In Thailand, while you cannot renew a marriage visa indefinitely, you can apply for annual extensions as long as you meet the necessary requirements. Each year's extension requires submitting new documents, similar to when you first applied. Additionally, you must perform 90-day check-ins throughout the year. After a year, instead of a simple renewal, a new application process based on updated documentation is required.

I just did my first one. You have basically the right info. 90 day check ins. Then after a year. Redo the paperwork and repeat

Might be cheaper and less of a headache for you to do a retirement visa just in case if you do an upgrade.

I said just in case, I didn't tell you to do it. You never know in Pattaya. I have seen plenty of Thai girls leave their spouse. You always need to be careful here.

You have the basic requirements, just using the wrong terminology. Once you get your first one year extension all the documents are the same each following year, except for new bank letters , and new pictures, unless you moved. As long as you meet the financial requirement you can keep extending this as long as you want. Currently you can do the 90 day reports online, by mail, or in person.

Extend each year (same documents as when you apply) and continue 90 day reports

You cannot renew an extension or a visa.

You can apply for an extension of stay for as long as you are eligible and meet the requirements. Each extension is a brand new application based on all new documents and all new evidence. It's not a renewal.
