Posted the other day and was very vague about part of my question because I wanted broad input. My plans were not well formed yet. Now it is looking like, if there isn't a reason not to, getting my extension in Chonburi would be much easier than in bkk. Is there any reason I would not want to use that office?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around applying for a visa extension at the Chonburi immigration office versus Bangkok. It is recommended to use the immigration office in the area of residence, which for the user seems to be Chonburi. While the requirements for a 30-day tourism extension are similar across Thailand, it is noted that Chonburi typically issues extensions only when 7 days or less remain, whereas Bangkok might allow applications anytime if the TM30 is registered there. Some users also suggest temporary accommodations to facilitate this process.
