TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you need to have an up-to-date TM30 registration irrespective of being married to a Thai citizen. The TM30 must be submitted by your landlord within 24 hours of your arrival, and it's essential for various immigration services such as annual extensions, 90-day reports, re-entry permits, and residence certificates. Thai immigration offices will not process any requests if you are not TM30 registered.
90 DAY REPORTING RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Use the trusted Thailand 90 Day Reporting Serviceto get your in-person report done and mailed to you for as low as 375 THB (even if the online system doesn't work for you).
  • For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
  • Join the Thai Visa Advice Facebook Group to ask your questions, and get advice from others.

Need a bit of assistance with online reporting. 1st time have done this.

I just filled out online (both for myself as foreigner reporting and my wife filled out the landlord form). House in her name

I submitted online. Now what? Do I just wait for a confirmation e mail or what is next?

They can ask for everything if they have wook up on wrong side. Last time the officer suddenly ask for my old and expired passport, so I had to go home 75 km to get it, if I like to have my extension. No reason was explained.

Every foreigner need to be reported of his adres by his landlord, hotel staff.. within 24 hours of arriving. Married to a thai makes no difference. The key is... "every"

I didn't say married to- I said marriage visa. Immigration has come to my house and we've posed for photos together. It's pretty reasonable to wonder if this supersedes the TM30 system.

That’s not an answer to a fairly simple question:

Did you get a stamped paper when they visited?

You need an up to date TM30 for anything you'll do at immigration.
