This is a bit backwards, but folks here know stuff so... I was reading about how hard it is for a single Thai woman without a lot of money/assets to get a visa to visit the USA. Is it easier if she is married (Thai marriage) to an American?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The difficulty of obtaining a US visa for a Thai woman can vary based on her marital status. Being married to an American can provide advantages when applying for certain visas, particularly the K-1 fiancé visa, which is often considered faster than other options. However, for a tourist visa, she still needs to demonstrate financial stability and strong ties to Thailand, regardless of her marital status.

Its all about reason to return, assets.. Money, property, business etc... Kids and family don't count as reason.

I've always heard the K-1 fiance visa is the easiest and fastest...faster than if you were already married.

"Easier" is a relative term. If she's applying for a tourist visa she'd still need to show financial proof and ties to Thailand. If she's apply for a visa based on marriage to an American, it's like a 2 year process.
