TLDR : Answer Summary
The Ed visa in Thailand typically allows for a maximum stay of one year, primarily for educational purposes. After completing a year of study, there may be limitations on reapplying for another Ed visa unless you are enrolled in a degree program at a university. Some comments suggest that after leaving Thailand for a month, it may be possible to return and apply for another Ed visa, especially if you obtain a re-entry permit, but it is crucial to confirm with your local immigration office or the educational institution to get accurate and up-to-date information.

I would check with your local immigration office or the school you intend to study at

With the way the rules change on visas it’s better to ask the relevant people

My last information is yes (I have a similar plan) but better to go an immigration office to ask. ;)

Yes, you can travel out once and get a re entry permit.

Unless you're studying at a university, you generally get one shot at ED. Once you finish your year you're done. ED is not meant as a long-term solution to stay in Thailand. You finished studying and now you're supposed to be on your way.

If you're studying for a degree at a university, you can continue extending until you finish your entire program.

where is this information from? Because last time when I asked about this in official places they said I can come back to do an another year on ED visa... Because my plan to do Thai beginner language course first and an intermediate on the second year. And just an interesting thing you said once you used ED visa never again... What about if I'm doing 1 year ED studying Thai and after I'm want to studying in a Thai university... They definitely not will deny my ED visa... But long story short drop me a link where is your information from because mine from an immigration office 2 weeks ago ...

did you happen to ask for long you need to leave between?

I did a really quick check on official sites. Nowhere stated you can apply ED visa only once... But even if your course is 1 year long you have to extended your ED visa every 90 days. But I can say more when I start my process, but that's will be end of this year.

well you are allowed to come back so it’s not like they are kicking you out. Context is I finish my one year language and then come back after X period of time and do a year of muaythai

So I can’t leave for TEN YEARS and come back and do another Ed visa?

you already used up your ED. You can't do one year of Muay Thai. Well you can train all the Muay Thai you want, but not on an ED visa at least.
