I also have yearly travel insurance. But most, if not all, have maximum amount of days from leaving your home until return home. Or, extend duration of vacation with insurance BEFORE leaving home. Mine is 10 weeks, but can extend. Terms of your insurance is best discussed with insurance company.
Been a retired person, your travel insurance does ofc still apply. Return to your home within time limit and it works fine.
I did not show contract upfront, only after come to the "sofa". And I did have a legit return ticket to Norway within the new 60 days. And was shown before pulled to the side.
Of all my times been in passport control, i have never seen so many peoples been pulled to the side. The officer stated that they will not accept such usage of exemption anymore.
Next time I had to provide Visa. But when asked, the October trip I do, that I never stay more then 5-6 weeks, if I needed visa then, I was told that no, then it will be OK. So confusing.
But for sure, will use agents for border bounce in future if not find different visa or change my trips to 3 and 2 months instead of 4 and 1.
When I was pulled to the side, 4 peoples was already sitting there, looked serious and like sitting there a while. Within 5 minutes, 2 more peoples came to sitt there. So I think they are getting strict about the border bounce to get new exemption.
Throuble is when you fall behind two chairs on visa rules. Not old enough for retirement, and not working during this time so no Dtv etc. So both yes and no to be a tourist. And yes, they told me that they don't allow such visa exemption "abuse" anymore
