Can I get another 60-day visa extension if I am currently on an extension that expires soon?

I got really sick this week and didn't take care of my visa plans. But I also read something that could change them. I wanted to get the thoughts of the pros here. I am on a 60 day extension from my 30 day extension from my original 30 day exempt entry. Current stamp expires the 27th of Feb. The language schools want 5 weeks to get you switched over- so I was going to start that this week but got sick. But I also read that they moved the extension back and maybe I can get one more 60 day? If so that is preferable anyway.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a 60-day extension following a 30-day extension from an exempt entry and is unsure about the possibility of obtaining another extension due to recent illness. The community comments suggest that it is possible to get another 60-day extension since the user still holds tourist status. However, there are mentions of challenges in obtaining extensions without valid reasons and a recommendation to consider converting to a different visa through enrollment in a language school.

You can get a new 60 day extension since you still have a tourist status!! So no worries

Get well soon. I too have gotten really sick. Only getting better now and can’t sleep due to sleeping in bed all week.

I have read earlier in a few posts that it is a little more difficult to get the extension now without a good reason and people waiting the last minute are getting the 7 day stamp to leave the country. If you plan to stay here for at least a year longer I’d say to convert your exempt visa and enroll in a language school or a sport.

Yeah two days of sleeping 16 hours a day will wreck my schedule. What do you mean sport?

still awake I see 😂 same with me. Joining a sport like Muay Thai can get you a visa, studying Buddhism as well I believe.

Yeah I'd like to stay forever, trying to stretch out my stuff until I can hit 50 and do the retirement.
