I recommend getting a real tourist visa (not waiver or whatever), fly in through Phuket.

I usually get a window seat so 1.7 second guy is never me. However, I much prefer 1.7 second guy over the guy that goes through the metal detector 5 times because they just can't figure out - take of all of your Jewry

Pre Covid there was a limit of 2 land border crossings per year, I think. Unlimited crossing by air. I did back-to-back extensions for years (2 or 3). Advice given to me by an immigration officer is to stay in the other country for a couple of weeks. So at the time I would go wherever spend a few weeks and come back with a fresh new visa, I never had problems.

I have heard of people getting denied entry so it is best to have a plan B.

That's not news. BAHAHAHA.

You could get a license and helmet, or just avoid those areas.

My experience with the US embassy, appointment or no, you should plan at least 2 hours.

You will want to contact the Embassy to ask which document they have, the temporary or long term passport.

You only need to show onward travel. You can use a flight or you can use a bus ticket. One is cheaper than the other.

I used to byy bus tickets from Hat Yai to Penang to satisfy the onward travel requirement. (12go.asia is your friend)

I have inquired at the hospital a couple of times about donating blood. Each time they tell me come back in a few months when they're doing a blood drive.

Visa Validity

Stay Expiration

Two different date. The visa allows you to enter, the 'stay' is how long you can be in country.

They give you visa June 1, you have 90 days (September 1) to enter.

When you enter you get a stamp that allows you to stay (your case 90 days).

Effectively you can come September 1, stay 3 months.
