Flew into BKK yesterday. Had my passport and new visa ready. No questions asked. No checking for 20k baht. Wished me luck with my new classes and got the stamp.
Didn't use an agent for the application. Took 20 mins to fill everything out and then 7 business days for approval. I see a lot of fear mongering freaking people out about the process. Follow the rules and provide what they ask for. No drama.
Hi all. This is post that I never seen asked so here goes. Im totally lost with what visa I need to apply for as I won’t be a tourist as such. I’m looking to attend a rehab facility early next year but my stay will be for 90 days minimum. Thanks in advance people.
I'm on a 30 day visa exemption + 30 day extension (Not Tourist Visa). I just renewed my USA passport and got it in the mail today.
I think I'm supposed to go to immigration to have my stamp transferred to the new passport now - but what happens if I don't and I just showup at the airport with both passports?
Is there a fine or anything?
Would like to save myself the extra trip to immigration if it can be avoided.
Someone posted somewhere that they were denied entry on a tourist visa because they’ve been in Thailand 90 days within the past 6 mos. Is that true? A relative (American) is currently on a 45 day visa exempt entry and plan on doing 1 30-day extension and then spend some time in another country before coming back. How many visa extensions are you allowed? Also, how long can you stay before deciding on a non-tourist visa?
Thank you so much in advance 💚
Edited to add 45 day visa exempt entry vs tourist visa 🫠
