I want to ask if any has used or is using the ED visa, and what experiences with the different schools like government or private. The fees for classes between the two types of schools and what would be the ranking of said schools from worst to great and of locations, are there limited amount of schools. I read an article about language schools in Phuket being overwhelmed by Russians so there was a rush to open more branches.

I plan on Bangkok or further south as the location I want to stay.

Thanks for any help.

Thai language how best to learn?

I am an American and have traveled the world most of my life. Too many countries so never learned anything more than a few phrases of various languages.

At the age of 57, not sure if I can even do it?

Any subliminal learning techniques so I can listen while I sleep?

Do not mind purchasing a good program if that is best.

Those that have learned I would like to hear from you. Thanks in advance.

Dear pros, i planned to visit Thailand few months ago, so applied for a tourist visa from my country. Unfortunately i got the void stamp on it which made me wait 3 months for me to apply for any Thai visa again. The reason for the void stamp which i assume is due to the factors like my travel agency applied without an actual flight ticket and hotel booking. They just got 6 months bank statement from me. Didn't ask me for financial supportive documents such as Income Tax returns. Also I'm 31 and single. So i just assume these might be the reasons for the visa denial (based on what I read on a visa forum)

Now the void stamp period is over (When i called the Thai consulate in my country, they told me that I have to wait for the void stamp visa validity to be over before i apply for another visa). So i would like to visit Thailand and i wanna stay there for few months. I'm also willing to learn basic Thai language. So thought it would be better to proceed with the ED visa instead of tourist visa as I'm afraid that they may deny the tourist visa once again as they can see void stamp (again this also i read on the visa forum that few guys have been denied the tourist visa second time whom have had void stamp on their visa before) . And also i haven't been to any other countries before. (I also applied for Thai visa couple of years ago and got the tourist visa for 60 days through the same travel agency. But i was not able to travel at that time bcos of some personal reasons).

Can someone kindly suggest me any Thai language schools which gives me the feasibility of learning Thai language through online classes along with the ED visa? Or can I apply for the tourist visa once again? (I'm a website designer btw and I'm not planning to work in Thailand). Just wanna spend vacation and also have an interest in learning basic Thai language.

Thanks much in advance.

Hi I’ve been in Thailand for 6 months on TR visa then covid visa.

I wish to stay longer and change to an ED visa for 1 year to learn Thai.

I’m currently living in Phetchabun.

Is there a way to do the visa process yourself using a local or online language school or is it better to use a company to do it all for me? Can anyone recommend me anything? I have a Thai girlfriend who could do the forms for me and help me if needed

Thanks krap

Hey guys!

For anyone who transfered their visa exemption to an ED Visa:

Would you have a course recommendation that was accepted for this process?

Preferably a low commitment course

Is there any sort of official list of all non-formal schools and institutions in Thailand that are certified to offer ED-Visa programs? It is always said that schools would need to be approved by the Ministry of Education Thailand. Consequently, that ministry should be able to provide a respective list. However, I did not find anything on their website. Any leads? Have a great evening. Thank you.
