Has anyone been refused entry lately?

Arrived last year.

3 cambodia land trips, and prior a year of covid stamps.

If i fly out from bkk to malaysia and come back same day - and say i come back to study thai. I will go with fast track service. Is this not worth chancing? I want to get 30 more days to organize ed visa. I know Laos by land would be safest but this will take a lot less time lol.

Hello

I wish to ask your advices/opinions.

In the last two years, I have lived in Thailand with the following chronologically:

-3 month tourist visa (2 + 1)

-8 month of « covid visa » (4 x 2)

Exit of Thailand to Ffance

Back to Thailand after a week with visa waiver

Roasting interview by immigration on my arrival in BKK airport

-2 month of visa waiver (1 + 1)

-4 month of student visa: 3 month + 1 month extension (out of 3, so 2 month unused)

Exit thailand and back home since 2 month

Total I spent 17 month in the Kingdom. I have been home for 2 month in France.

I plan to go back to Thailand for a short holiday of 1 week next month.

Do I risk to be blocked by immigration in Bangkok. I haven’t changed my passeport yet, so it’s full of different Thai stamps.

Thank you 🙏

I was almost denied entry into Thailand. I am a Dutch passport holder and arrived visa-exempt from Amsterdam a few days ago. This was my first visit since I left in March of this year.

The immigration officer interrogated me. She noted that I had visited Thailand many times, always visa-exempt and getting a 30-day extension. She also told me it’s better to apply for a tourist visa next time. . I’ve always complied with the letter of the law, and never overstayed. In the end, she noted down lots of information into the computer, and asked to see my return flight. I was allowed in. Phew. I asked her if I had done something wrong but she said no, but added that I could be rejected the next time I arrive visa-exempt, depending on the officer.

Now on to my question: Did I do something wrong? I thought the Thai government specifically allowed certain countries to enter visa-exempt to attract tourist and make it hassle-free. Any thoughts are welcome. I don’t wanna risk doing anything bad.

Hello everyone, good advice is very welcome. TR60 Visa since October 2021 with 5 Covid extension.

I would like to extend my stay to travel a little further around Thailand with my Thai GF. We are planning a short trip to Vietnam at the end of the month, would spend a day or two there and then fly back via DMK. I’m gambling with a 45 days stamp.

Is the whole project a promising campaign? I haven't done any other visas or border runs yet.

Side notice: I’m still having my return flight as a backup, but this one starts from BKK… I guess there is also risk involved to get denied entry at all?

Or is it also worth the extra effort to apply for a new TR visa in Vietnam?

Many thanks 🙏
