Hi, I have a DTV visa, however my passport is due to expire within 1 year. So, I was thinking of getting the passport renewed.

But I'm worried would it cause any problems as I haven't used the visa yet, or carrying the blank new passport with the old one suffice.

Thanks 😊

I'm applying for a non-O 90 days visa. I wonder if there will be a problem in case I change the flight details after I obtain the visa.

Hello to group members. I am now applying for a 90 day non-O visa online. My trip is scheduled for this June. I wonder if the visa period begins from the date the embassy issues it or will it be valid according to travel dates I mention on the application form?

Hello, I have received my 90 day non O visa today via email but the start day is from today for 90 days. I wasn’t planning on going to mid April and put my intended travel dates as this on the application. Do they stamp this visa when I arrive and therefore get 90 days from them ?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. 🙏

Hi, I applied last week for an METV from UK which has been approved and issued today ( only took 3 days) I am not arriving until 8 June (which my documents showed that were submitted) however my Visa states valid from 24 March until 19 September 25.

Does the Visa mean I have between the dates to arrive in Thailand and my Visa will be ‘active’ from the arrival stamp date and I can travel in and out of Thailand as a tourist for 6 months from that arrival date (8 June) or does it mean it’s ‘active’ from today until September?

Thanks

I have a DTV visa, valid until 2029.

After now stayed in Thailand 6 months Im going back to my home country.

I plan to return to Thailand in November, is there anything I need to do regarding my visa, or just bring it to show when I enter the border, just like I did this time?

I have a question that may sound a bit odd:

I've just received approval for the retirement eVisa from the Thai embassy in my country. I have a slight change in my schedule and plan to move in only about two months (the visa will still be valid). Despite all this, I would like to come at the end of this month for a 10-day visit. Will this visit cancel my retirement visa? TIA

Hello, my DTV visa was approved recently and i was going to start using it in May but some family circumstances force me to head back sooner to Europe.

I don’t want to loose the DTV so i plan to only stay a week in TH and i don’t know when i will come back…normally 5-6 months after.

Is it a problem or i can do whatever i like since anyway my DTV is valid for 5 years ?

I wonder if an immigration agent can be surprised i only used it for one week and wait many months to come back…

Thanks all for the always good help here!

I applied for a DTV visa in Japan. In Japan, all visa applications are done online. I received the visa by email one week after applying, but the type of visa was Non-Immigrant O and the validity period was one year. Has anyone else had the same experience? By the way, I am 69 years old.
