Just at Phuket airport flying out to HCM and got questioned a bit, apparently (Phuket) immigration could have processed the DTV if already in Thailand on a valid ED visa? Explained to her we need to be out the country etc etc, she went off to double check but insisted they can/could have processed.

Given she spoke fluent English, seems unlikely to have been a miscommunication/misunderstanding. Anyone heard of this before?

Hey guys, I’m currently in Thailand and trying to figure out how to stay longer—around 3 months or more.

I’d like to avoid land border runs (I really don’t trust those mini-vans 😅), but I’m trying to plan things out properly.

Here’s my situation so far:

- June 2 to July 10, 2024: I stayed in Thailand earlier this year (used the 45-day visa exemption + 30-day extension).

- December 9, 2024, to February 7, 2025: I’m currently here again (planning to use the 60-day visa exemption + 30-day extension).

I'm from Portugal, Europe..if that matters.

In February 2025, I’m thinking about leaving by plane for a week, go to China for a few days, and then flying back to Thailand.

My goal is to get another visa exemption for another 2-3 months.

I know it’s ultimately up to the immigration officer, but how strict are they considering the days I spent here the last year?

Would this work, or should I look into another solution?

I’m planning to get an DTV/ED in June 2025, so I just need to figure out how to handle my stays until then.

Thanks for any tips or experience you can share!

Hi, I’m currently in Thailand on ED visa and planning to go to Taiwan to apply for DTV visa. As I will provide my employment contract as an evidence and it is stating my address in Thailand (my rental), does anyone know if there’ll be a problem that my residence is currently in Thailand? Thanks

I applied online a month ago and still no response. I assume this is because of the high season and processing takes longer. Has anyone experienced similar waiting times?

Hi guys, I’m planning a move to Thailand. I’m 25 and am looking to enter with the regular tourist visa and then continue to stay on an ED visa. Was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on schools or can tell me about their experience going this route.

Afternoon all, with the new E-visa recently introduced to most countries surrounding Thailand, how many days does it typically take for a 60 day Tourist Visa to be processed?

I have to exit Thailand and come back on an actual tourist visa (not visa exemption) so I can re-apply for the ED visa at Chaeng Watthana afterwards.

(I already had the ED visa before but my university didn't have the documents ready for my 6 months extension and now I have to leave the country and come back again after paying a 5 day overstay fine and getting a temporary 7 day extension).

The Thai E-visa website states it *could* take up to 15 days but I'm doubtful it would actually take that long?

Thinking of going to Kuala Lumpur or Cambodia to lodge the E visa application for tourist visa - does anyone have any recommendations?

Otherwise, a physical appointment at the Thai embassy in Vientiane, Laos may be a faster option?

What’s the difference with the ED visa for Muay Thai and the DTV for Muay Thai ? Since the stays are longer and over 5 years are gyms less strict with class attendance ?

If I am not asking this question correctly please forgive me.
