I had a credit card sent to my home address via fedex. The address got goofed and the driver would not have been able to find my condo. I waited like 6 weeks, nobody called, nobody e.mailed or text. Eventually I was able to track the package to the local warehouse and they were able to change the address, card was delivered next day. My experience in the US, its a real pain to get a package if the address is wrong so I was surprised they allowed me to change the address. Thailand address are difficult for Americans.
Moral of the story make sure you will have the tracking number.
I had to use a person to get this done. Mine was a marriage visa but she pulled some strings. I did have to pay 5000 for a covid extension but she was able to get the money thing worked out.
I am also considering buying a house. Most people say the same thing 'Don't do it' but I will likely ignore that advice.
There is a "Thailand Home Builder" (or similar) facebook page that may be helpful in terms of advice for ownership.
To be honest its a little worrisome to enter into legal agreements in a language I do not read/write/understand. There are a few scams and I am vulnerable to all of them.
I would recommend talking to a lawyer and find someone who has bought and sold homes. Facebook isn't the best place to get that kind of advise.
They have an app you can use. Just use your credit card. Its odd. When I try to pay via app it has issues with my credit card but when I pay with Lineman it accepts my credit card and the AIS accepts Lineman.
It will make more sense to you once you have the app installed and you are looking at the options.
Lineman. Here in Thailand everybody uses "Line" to for the go-to Messaging app. Lineman is payment app associated with Line.
I would recommend get online, download Line create a profile. If you need to make appointment or talk to someone they'll ask for your Line Id.
