Do you have long-term visa? I am on a tourist visa. The bank manager told me I would have to pay the 8000 OR go to the embassy get certified passport and/or go to immigration to get letter of residence. OR I can get a marriage visa. I told her I need the bank account for the marriage visa.. She told me .... all the stuff I just said
Twice I have pulled tourist visas from Australia (I am a US citizen). I used Brisbane and Melbourne, I did have to leave my passport with them but they were done in 1 day. I don't know if that helps you any.
US tax purpose is my primary drive for marrying her. But since I am marrying her, it makes sense to do the marriage visa.
Don't get wrong, I intend to do right by her. I am certainly open to spending the rest of my life with her. In the event I should pass-away she will be the sole beneficiary, don't tell her, I don't want to be the victim of a death inducing accidents.
But it is not one of those things, where I am in my 20's and thinking with my hormones either. I am playing the end game here.
I think immigration doesn't accept WISE as evidence of a foreign bank? For the past few years I have deposits made to my thai bank account from Wise, would I be able do use that to show money for marriage visa?
What you're talking about is 'back-to-back' visa.. I did it that way for a few years. There are risks involved so I recommend having a back-up plan. If you haven't done many you are less likely to have issues.
