Hello, My girlfriend and I have arrived in Chiang Mai to check out a building project her father started but ran out of money near completion, approx 45 million baht was put into it. It’s been sitting in the hills for 15 years and now we want to take on the project and I have been made power of attorney and have teh chanote deed. We need advice on what type of visas could we possibly be eligible for and considering the substantial amount invested already by the company does that allow for us to maybe be open any type of investors visa? Thank you all for any help, much appreciated.

Looking for advice on transferring ownership of a car while the owner is overseas. The owner no longer has a Thai work permit, but has a month left on a non-o dependents visa. Is it possible to do without the owner returning to Thailand via power of attorney?

Hi folks , do u need a will in Thailand ? A will written by a Thai solicitor. If u died without a Thai wife but u wanted to leave your money that’s in a Thai bank to a Thai how could they access it ?

Leaving an ATM card with a PIN number would take along time to withdraw at only 20k bhat at a time !!

Thanks

Hi All,

I’m at MFA in Chang Wattana. I’ve just been told that I cannot get my partner’s documents legalized without having his Power of Attorney.

I have no idea how to get such thing. Does anyone know?

TIA!

Ok Guys, this will come to us all so please read.

Those of us, long term residents of Thailand, who see Thailand as “home’ will, if we survive, reach an age of infirmity, be it physical or mental, where the annual trip to Immigration is impossible, as will the efforts of obtaining the necessary paperwork required to support the yearly extension. Question then, what is the solution? Is there a procedure in place to accommodate us, someone must have been there and done all this already, or is it all down to a Law firm or Thai family to take up the battle with immigration?
