What insurance charge? I've never heard if anyone being charged renters insurance in Thailand, didn't even know that was a thing here.

Normally on a 12 month lease it's 2 months security but I'd encourage you to negotiate down to 1 month security deposit.

Why would she need an entry stamp in her UK passport? The US never stamps my passport when I enter.

She can exit on her British passport. The letter of the law says she needs the mothers consent to leave the country in writing, but if you don't say anything you shouldn't have an issue.

Even though I worked at McDonald's for 8 months, I've still never had a big Mac. You can't go wrong with chicken nuggets, I'd drop the burger and get a ranch chicken snack wrap.
