TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the extension of the aircraft ban in Thailand until June 1st, causing distress for many foreigners stranded outside the country. Participants express their frustrations about being unable to return, highlight the strict restrictions on entry—allowing only Thai nationals on repatriation flights—and explore potential solutions like entering through neighboring countries, which is currently not permitted due to closed borders. Many ex-pats share their personal experiences of being unable to fulfill work obligations and the emotional toll of the situation.

It’s July 1 for international flights on Thai Airways now
On behalf of a friend who lives in Bangkok but is stuck outside of Thailand (took a work contract and then s#!t hit the fan), is there any way around this? Flying into a neighbouring country and entering by land or another option?

Do they allowed people with valid working permit to enter via land (Malaysia border)?

Lao ppl cant even exit at this time and is unknown when they can

all boarders are closed, only ppl entering by land or air are thai nationals under re-patriation
military aircraft and cargo
limited flights out for re-patriation for foriegners to home countries are permitted

Same problem. I still need my work permit, can only get it in Thailand. Luckily my company let's me work as much as i can already, but it's not ideal. I will cry on the day I can finally fly in and start my life again ❤️ I don't even have my own place at the moment.

My lawyer said to exit Thailand to change my work permit to a new approved BOI Privilege company. So I left and came to the USA to open some bank accounts and meet clients for 2 weeks. Flight back cancelled and Thailand not letting any of us back. How do we take care of our families and or business? Nothing will be left...

I am stuck in a hotel in the USA also unable to return to Thailand that I have lived for the last 17 years.
No, me as well as a lot of others are in the same situation. I left for a week and got stuck. The only people allowed to fly in are Thai nationals on repatriation flights organized by the embassies.
. How can zero incoming passenger flights can worse?

More stockholmed delusionals talking out their sphincters. No one did anything to refute what I said. A bunch of Red herrings that have nothing to do with parameters. No wonder none of you ultracrepidarians passed a logic course.

You can look up flights that are actually running here. It's hugely reduced but on this list you can see, apart from the East Asian destinations, you can get to Qatar (with onward connections to Europe and the USA) and Frankfurt. They aren't flying today Monday but Eva fly to London direct several times a week, there is a flight there tomorrow.
There may also be connections to the US from some of the East Asian destinations, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei. I don't know. I know there were connections through Doha because a State Department circular specifically mentioned it.
There are three flights a week to Singapore only Thais allowed inbound

You know absolutely nothing. Here junior there are no flights to get to Bangkok to get to the USA that are capable of babies or pets. But continue the ultracrepidarian babble
