TLDR : Answer Summary
A Thai lawyer in Chiang Mai has filed a lawsuit against the United States government, claiming it is responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic and seeking 450,000 baht in lost revenue due to his cafe's financial losses. The post discusses various community reactions, skepticism about the lawsuit's viability, and commentary on the motivations behind such a legal action.
Not quite sure how it is possible to file an international law suit in a local court that has no jurisdiction over the USA. Very strange, must be just seeking publicity.
Australia has the same problem , of the Covid the largest percent from any single country was the US coming into Australia . No tests done on anyone flying out of the US .
If the cafe has taken such a huge financial hit due to the economic crisis brought about by the Covid19 situation, he should prepare himself for the worst because his credibility as a good lawyer has just been flushed down the toilet!
If suit is filed in CM, thry will settle. The Consul staff is never there, so such a small sum will settle. Problem is who to you serve court doc. to ?
He will lose. It is simply a waste of time. There is way too much evidence that China is at the heart of this Fiasco. This fellow has been reading too many conspiracy theories
Seems some people didn't read the headline..... "I'm trying to keep this group as much visa and expat (bank, car buying, yellow books ext) as possible, but I can't not share this."
