I know this probably comes as a huge surprise to most, but the government has extended the emergency decree another month.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Thai government has extended the emergency decree for another month, which has sparked mixed reactions among expatriates and residents in Thailand. While some express shock at the decision, others see it as a continuation of measures to prevent the opening of borders and discourage anti-government protests amid ongoing Covid-19 concerns.

Total b/s. ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ‘Ž The extension of the emergency decree by Prayuth, Prawit & Co had abso-tively, posi-lutely NOTHING to do with covid or the vaccine roll out and everything to do with stopping the anti-government protestors flooding the streets.

It's a chicken shit move by the powerz-that-be.

While I can't comment publicly as I would like to maintain this account, I know of many who would concur with that assessment of the extension of the emergency decree.

Not a surprise and won't be if it carried on all year. If they didn't they would have to open the borders which doesn't even look possible at the moment
