TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the official rules for foreigners holding Non-B visas who wish to re-enter Thailand from abroad. It does not pertain to tourists or those with Non-O visas. The conversation includes inquiries about the lack of information from embassies in different countries, particularly about ED visas and their approval for re-entry. Commenters express concerns about quarantine costs and health insurance requirements for work permit holders in Thailand.

I wonder what the 14 days quarantine at your own expense in a state quarantine facility will actually cost.

If it include 3 meals, COVID 19 testing (first on arrival and one about 10 days later) and medical check ups B 50 k is a fair price.

500 baht a night in one of the quarantine hotels in Ao Nang.

It's unknown at the moment bro. We'll have to see what happens towards the end of June. If I had to guess though, I probably wouldn't say it's going to happen.

They don't mention -Ed??!
Ivan ************
Anything not mentioned is not allowed in. Even with the work permit holders it is limited to those with an "urgent need" which will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

They are going to loosen up further at some point, this is just phase one.

My ED Visa is one year. We will have a break time (
***
month), if i go back to Yangon during holidays, re-entry will be subject to Thai Embassy' Approval! My Re-entry may be around August 10, 2020. Is that means???
Ivan ************
I would think, if you want to stay in Thailand, better stay in Thailand. We don't know what the situation will be in early August but that's only two months from now, it's conceivable you wouldn't be able to return then.

Right now there is no option for Ed visa holders to return, even with embassy approval. That avenue is only for workers and case by case based on "urgency and economic importance".

How about ED visa? May I know the requirements?

Thanks for posting this. For some reason, the embassy in Dubai hasn't received it yet and said I can't apply. It hasnt been released on many embassy websites as well. Anyone else having this issue?
Bryan *********
Yeah, I've seen one from India - with an actual link to the application form for entry and this one from Manila now - still waiting for the UK embassy to update their website, it still says visa section closed and nothing else updated since last week!
