I am currently in thailand on holiday with uk pass port. I came on 12th October

I just did a 4 day trip to vietnam by air, but I have just noticed that they did not stamp my passport on re entry back to thailand. Is this normal, I am booked to go home on the Dec 5th but was considering a longer stay.

Asking for a friend- summarized at bottom. It’s a bit long, but it’s also a bit intricate so everything needs to be mentioned. I’m not AUS so I don’t know, hoping to get some useful answers here. Friend was teaching and had a WP- school was scandalous*shocker* and says they will be cancelling it. Friend is feeling like they might even get ripped off for their last paycheck 🤦🏻‍♀️ traveling w/young child the school didn’t attach to friend’s visa… they put the tot on an Ed visa.

I know some schools threaten to cancel the WP, but in some places it costs money so they just threaten but don’t actually do it.

They have another job lined up elsewhere and just need to sit tight til Jan 1. Can they exit and re enter as tourist? Does AUS have any exempt period? How exactly is it done? Buy evisa or what?

I haven’t gone out and come in in awhile. Plot twist- the tot has UK passport.

Long and short- AUS teacher w/ proper visa status fired, young tot on Ed visa and has UK passport. Can teacher and tot exit and reenter as tourists? Any exemption time?

Steps to do? School said WP will be off by 29 Nov 🙄

so of course they’re panicked. Only need to be in Thailand until Jan 1. Thanks

I hope someone that can help please:

I am a UK Passport holder that was issued January 2016 but with residue from previous passport (UK Passport Office allowance as maximum 9 months) so date shown for its expiry is October 2026! know in Europe they have stopped accepting the additional months and apply a strict 6 months remaining on exact 10 years from date of issue!

Question is based on my returning to UK next September (2025) will my passport be accepted to come back in to Thailand, obviously with the appropriate visa in place?

I am not sure who, officially, to ask so hence my question here - I don’t want to change my passport early if it will still be accepted on my re-entry to Thailand.

I hope you can help or steer me, thank you in advance.

I've looked through relevant posts but didn't find this exact point covered:

does a UK passport holder visiting Thailand for 2 weeks need to get a visa on arrival? Or would that case count as Visa Exempt?

Hello everyone. 🙂

I flew in and received a 60 day visa exempt on UK passport.

I want to extend for another 30 days, making total 90 days.

Can this be done from your first day of arrival onwards or does it have to be towards the end of the 60 day visa exempt to get the full additional 30 days extension?

Also am I best to extend in Patong office or when I go to Koh phangan? Is there one thats quicker and more efficient you would choose?

Thanks so much in advance for any advice or input. 🙏🏼😊

Hello all , I know it’s a regular question but the rules change so regularly, I’m planning next year to visit Thailand again for 3 months, I have in the past used my passport for the first 30 days applied also for the extra 30 days via an e- visa ( done online ) & then when in Thailand gone to the dreaded local immigration offices for the remaining days to cover my return flight to the uk . My questions are , have the laws changed & have I been doing the easiest ways of staying in Thailand for 90 days ? . Thank you for any replies .
