TLDR : Answer Summary
The COVID visa extension in Thailand has been extended until July 25th, with that date being the final day to apply. Discussions around this extension indicate that it remains available particularly as border bounce options are limited. Users inquire about requirements such as embassy letters, payment for extensions, and processing of stamps, emphasizing experiences from various immigration offices like Krabi and Chiang Mai. Commenters share advice regarding eligibility and procedures for obtaining the COVID extension, highlighting that 'under consideration' stamps are standard and do not require further payments upon return.

They extended it before a few times and the last application date is July, 25th. I wonder if that's the last one...

Can someone help me? I'm a bit confused.

I have an US visa exemption that has been extended for the first time on May 5th for an extra 30 days in Chiang Mai

Can I get a covid extension now for a 2 month extension then get another 2 months before July 25th?
Garrett ***********

@Kevin ****
You're eligible for the extension, but I don't think you'd be able to get 2 in the next 2 months.
David ********
They will keep doing this until the emergency decree ends. I know some VERY important people that have assured me this.

Hi what form do you ask for when you go to immigration? Covid extension? Or is it the same paper work as 30 day extension? Thanks ! πŸ™‚

@Reece ******
You need 4 papers, they have them there. You'll see a sign telling you which ones you need.

thank you! Can you apply for a covid extension (60days) even if you come in on a 30 day exemption ? We would love to get the 60 days rather than the 30 days β€”> then leaving the kingdom and getting stamped back in for an additional 30 so that the total of 90 days is without leaving Thailand...let me know πŸ™‚

@Reece ******
you need to do 30 first then apply for the 60

@Wayne ********
u mean the 30 days on arrival? Do those and then when we go to extend for 30 days that’s when we would apply for the 60 ? Or would we do 30 + 30 and then get the 60 the month after the first 2 months? Thanks just a lil confusing πŸ€£πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ
Wayne *********
@Reece ******
you must do the 30 day standard extension first then try for the covid 60 days

β™₯️β™₯️β™₯οΈπŸ™πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡ I am just wondering, I went to to Krabi for Covid extensions and we paid 1900baht each for 30 days start from the day our current stamp expires. They told us to come back for the second stamp in a month. Do we need to pay another 1900baht ?
Paulo **********
@Dada ***
I’d say yes
Dada ****
@Paulo *********
You mean yes that we need to pay for another 1900baht?
Dada ****
@Garrett **********
yes ours are under consideration. However they never gave us any recipe so hopefully they will not ask for another 1900baht for the second stamp.πŸ™

You should have gotten a blue receipt. What office?
Dada ****
@Garrett **********
I know! We got one blue recipe at our 30 days extension at Phuket immigration. For Covid extensions we did at Krabi immigration. I wanted to ask for the recipe but was to scaredπŸ˜…

What does the stamp in your passport say, under consideration?
Lei *****************
@Garrett **********
if the date given in the under consideration stamp is beyond my current stamped visa, will that be a problem? I went today and they asked me to return on 27th June. My current covid visa is valid until 18th June. Thank you πŸ™πŸ»
Garrett ***********

@Lei ****************
No, and under consideration stamp is the same as an extension.

@Garrett **********
Thanks for removing my worry about this. Have a nice day ahead πŸ˜„

Hi,
@Garrett **********
if it says 'under consideration, does it mean that we have to pay 1900 again when we get our visa? Also, are there any chances of my COVID visa getting rejected? 😐
Garrett ***********
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Khristie ********
No, if it says under consideration then that's normal. All covid extensions you have to go back for, some are at 15 days others are at 30 days depending on the office. You don't have to pay anything when you go back and it's always approved.

Paolo ************
has the regulation changed? it says that you need the letter from the embassy, but until now I have already done many covid extensions without the letter
Maxim ***********
Yep, as I predicted, as long as it's not possible to border bounce easily (go to Savannakhet, for example and come back 30 min later), they will keep extending Covid extension.
