We are coming in 2 weeks to Hua hin Thailand. We are renting a villa for a year starting out when we get there. We will be on a tourist visa with 30 days extension. We will be going to immigration to talk to them about getting the retirement visa or the Non immigrant O visa. Does anybody have any advice or think we should do something different?
am looking at a DTV. Would love to hear from people that have actually applied for this recently. Would appreciate some advice, especially when and where to apply. Am in Hua Hin at the moment and leaving Thailand in 2 weeks.
I have accommodation booked for the month of September in Hua Hin.
Will be in Cape Town for August where I would have the whole month to tackle the DTV.
This is my first time possibly going to be doing this but I was thinking of doing my first border run but I’m a bit skeptical doing it on my own as I do not know anything. I was wondering if any of you know of a possible agent I could use that would arrange everything for me but not being too expensive please 😅
I have recently posted a series of Reels/TikToks documenting our move to being retired in Hua Hin, which we now call home!! anyone in the group or other readers please feel free to DM me for details as I will not be so crass, (and also the admins might not like it,) if I just put up my account details. Only happy to help people out though!
Would you please recommend reliable agents to assist with DTV visa proccess (Bangkok, Pattaya, HuaHin area but can be the whole Thailand) and if you know how high are fees for such assistance? I would appreciate your help, thank you so much!
My wife and I are presently divesting ourselves of our assets in preparation for retirement in Hua Hin.
As we are currently residing in the US, we plan to make Thailand our home by December 31st.
To ensure a smooth relocation, I have joined this group to conduct research and have noted that several members are experiencing difficulties with banking requirements. Following a review of the comments, I have surmised that hiring an agent would be the most advantageous approach.
I would like to inquire:
Is this assessment accurate?
Is it recommended that we hire an attorney or agent?
Could anyone suggest a trustworthy contact in the Hua Hin or Bangkok areas?
(Special recognition goes to Meta AI for a well written correction of my original post!)
