Does anyone know if a person would need a visa traveling to THAILAND from the U.S. I’d like to go for a couple of months to see if and where I want to retire. I’m retired all ready just looking into HUA HIN so any advice will be appropriated
Would you please recommend reliable agents to assist with DTV visa proccess (Bangkok, Pattaya, HuaHin area but can be the whole Thailand) and if you know how high are fees for such assistance? I would appreciate your help, thank you so much!
My wife and I are presently divesting ourselves of our assets in preparation for retirement in Hua Hin.
As we are currently residing in the US, we plan to make Thailand our home by December 31st.
To ensure a smooth relocation, I have joined this group to conduct research and have noted that several members are experiencing difficulties with banking requirements. Following a review of the comments, I have surmised that hiring an agent would be the most advantageous approach.
I would like to inquire:
Is this assessment accurate?
Is it recommended that we hire an attorney or agent?
Could anyone suggest a trustworthy contact in the Hua Hin or Bangkok areas?
(Special recognition goes to Meta AI for a well written correction of my original post!)
My husband receives a steady monthly income from the VA. We will have DTV visas. We homeschool our children and will be be putting them in muay thai. Thanks for all of your input and concerns for our family. P.S. we've done a lot of research but are also looking for feedback from people who are actually familiar with the areas.
Hi, we are a family of 5 looking to move to Thailand by the end of the year. I would like opinions on Hua Hin vs Chang Mai for families. TIA
I’m applying for DTV with cooking school in Bangkok but I’m going to be staying in Hua Hin. Unfortunately no schools in Hua Hin but as the classes are 1 day a month I’d travel to Bangkok for them and stay overnight. Will this be an issue for the application if the place I’m staying in is not in the same location as the school?
Why do people do Boarder Runs ? Why not extend at immigration offices ? In Hua Hin it takes all day to do and obviously costs money with an agent so why not just spend 1500 baht and get it done locally. Am I missing something 🤷♂️
