Just received this message from my health insurance company. Does anyone know if this in effect yet? Does immigration still mandate a Thai insurance company or can we show international health insurance certificate? We live in Hua Hin and due to renew O-A October 13 - many thanks!

It has come to our attention that there are already immigration offices in certain provinces asking for the 3,000,000 THB certificate for the renewal of your non-OA visa. In some provinces however, immigration still accepts the ‘old’ 400,000/40,000 THB certificate. We therefore kindly advise you to first check with your local immigration office which insurance certificate is needed for the renewal of your non-OA visa,

Hi all.

Ideally, I'd like to stay in Thailand for 90days. Travel to a different country via air (Japan) or potentially land (Vietnam/Laos), back to Thailand, and repeat. How many times is this actually allowed in a 12-month period?

I'm a UK citizen and will be travelling to Thailand on Monday, 8th Sept with my 13y/o son. We have a house in Hua Hin yet never stayed for longer than 90 days in any 12-month period. The visa thing always boggles my mind and I've been to Thailand a fair few times now so apologies if this has already been asked. I did try the search funtion but I'm possibly not using the correct key words :/

Hello. Can anybody recommend a place in Hua Hin for a soft power activity for my DTV Visa application? It can be anything. Muay Thai, cooking class, whatever. It took me months to get an acceptance letter from a Table Tennis Club in Phucket only to be denied by my local Thai Embassy online. Any help in acquiring an acceptance letter for some soft power activity in Hua Hin would be greatly appreciated.

Heading to Thailand for a while, are you able to apply for DTV inside of Thailand or does one need to be outside.

Does Thai cooking classes also get covered under this visa and where would one take classes in the Hua hin area?

Thanks in advance

Hi everyone

Me and the Mrs intend to retire somewhere around Hau Hin. This is the plan when I retire at 62 in April 2027.

We will have £400,000 approx from our UK house sale and I will have a pension of £12,000 per annum until we receive our state pension in 2032.

We intend to use this money combined to live and rent.

We are coming for a three week visit next March, is there anything we could be doing in March to get the ball rolling.

We intend to use agents to sort everything out for us so any recommendations will be welcomed.

We realise our plans are in the future and things change but we feel any knowledge is better than non.

Thank you in advance for any help given.
