What recent child exploitation case involving government officials came to light in Thailand?
I wonder if anyone heard this story that came out last week, I probably doubt it. These are the disgusting sub-human things that really should have a special place in hell reserved for these people.
Among others, a deputy general of the Department for Children and Youth was arrested for his role in a child prostitution ring. It's alleged that another officials would assault children in a homeless shelter in an attempt to force them into prostitution.

Ok thanks. I’ve never heard of that term. Well on the bright side. At least it wasn’t a farang. Glad they finally caught up with him. Too bad it took as long as it did. I know Cambodia and Philippines has this issue also.

"Big" is a common nickname in Thai, as is "Joke", although I have only seen it used together for this guy. He must be somebody special because every time he farts, the news writes about it.

Judging by this report, I think we're about to see what he's been up to for the past two years. He was behind an anti corruption drive that made him quite unpopular amongst Immigration officers. He was making some headway when he was removed from his position.

Pol Lt Gen Surachate, his English name is "Big Joke". He used to be the commander of the thai immigration police, now he heads up the country's anti corruption investigations.

No surprises. Thailand’s reputation in this department is well known. Slave labor and sex trafficking occur often in this country..
