Should "Advise" be changed to "Advice"?

Since there were a couple posts recently that a few astute community members made regarding the name and potential (depending on how you look at it) grammatical inaccuracy of the use of the word "Advise," I'll put it to a vote. I'll give it 72 hours so everyone has a chance to see it, keep or not to keep.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The community discusses whether the term "Advise" should be changed to "Advice," highlighting the grammatical distinction between the two words—"advise" is a verb while "advice" is a noun. Many members express their views, some arguing that it does not significantly matter, others finding it visually unappealing or confusing. A few suggest alternatives or emphasize the importance of clarity in communication, especially within an expat-centric group.

Leave it or change it. The results will not change. Interpretations have a tendency to “float” everybody’s boat

Either way, they're both really hard words for Thai people to say.

Good thing this is an expat centric group then. While Thai people are more than welcome, the focus of the group is to help foriegners navigate the visa and expat related issues in Thailand.

advice and advise are two different words

ur getting closer, Garrett, they are considered different "parts of speech", not "tenses"-- there are 8 parts of speech, and we have mentioned two of them, noun and verb, already; for ten points and a stale cookie, who can name the other six?

Actually it's the same word just different grammatical tense. Advise is the action of giving advice.

I think it's because there's also a Thai Visa Advice group so they try to differentiate

Could take some marketing creative license and call it Visa-Advise

Yes. It looks bad and lessens the quality of advise....i mean advice

I had never noticed it until someone pointed it out recently-evidence of how we skim-read across words and can read them if sufficient letters, particularly the first and last letters of a word are correct. But now I can't unsee it-please change it
