UPDATE: As of right now the 14 quarantine has been canceled (never actually started).

foreigners and Thais returning from Japan, South Korea, Germany, China, Taiwan, France, Singapore, Italy and Iran, Macau and Hong Kong are subject to a 14 day home quarantine REGARDLESS of symptoms, effective immediately.

Foreigners without a permanent residence (tourists) MUST show immigration PROOF of where they will be self quarantined at for 14 days or they will be refused entry.

TLDR : Answer Summary
As of now, the 14-day quarantine requirement has been canceled but, effective immediately, foreigners and Thais returning from specific countries (Japan, South Korea, Germany, China, Taiwan, France, Singapore, Italy, Iran, Macau, and Hong Kong) are subject to a mandatory 14-day home quarantine, regardless of symptoms. Foreign tourists must provide immigration proof of their quarantine location or face entry refusal.

was Singapore on the original list, now cancelled. I have friends coming from Singapore next work-- they live in Singapore-- and we both looked at the list and did not see Singapore as there? did we miss it?

You can still enter Singapore. BUT, they have just imposed a 14 day quarantine on EVERYONE entering Singapore.

I don't believe so. Singapore closed their borders to most nationalities pretty early, but not the other way around.

Things can change in a week though. If the have time I'd recommend them securing a visa. All the restrictions so far have been on visa exempt and VOA entries, not affecting those holding a visa.

Could someone enlighten on the ground reality in bkk as well as suvarnabhumi airport. Is it long line ups due to thermal screening or is it normal life.

It doesn't make sense at any airports around the world because for passing thru immigration or thermal screening you still have to stand in a queue with people from any parts from the world you don't know they come from and who they have been in contact with.

Let's say it's true.... So why would anyone fckng fly there.?! Cancel the flights then Thailand... Refund everyone.... Its the governments creating an environment of fear
Steve **********
That's because the government is scared shitless and has been since the beginning of February when they started censoring the data being released by the Thai DDC.

The" no law to force thais" part. But can enforce it on foreigners. Just "tell" thais to.

Yeah, there's an outbreak in Germany and Italy right now. I think 180 confirmed cases in Germany was the last number I saw.

I missed the best part at the end too, "All the medical expenses incurred will be borne by the individuals themselves."

Under the new emergency disease declaration you can be compelled by force to quarantine.
