Travelling to Thailand in June for 8 weeks, wondering what the petrol situation is there, is there big queues at petrol stations still?

If you had to pick up islands or places to visit in the peak time of December which will still be less crowded where would you pick? We have already been to Koh Kood, Koh chang, Koh Mai and Koh Wai and were paradise in December!

My Thai wife and I live in Los Angeles. We have applied to have conditions removed from her temporary green card, which has expired. As we wait for approval for the 10 year card. USCIS has extended the validity of the expired card for 48 months, good for “work and travel”

Given the greater visa scrutiny of 70 nations including Thailand, has anyone had any problems reentering the US, with an expired green card plus letter of extension?
