I dont think they 'require' clean underpants

I considered the elite visa when I was younger than 45. After 45 the value diminishes. When it's at its biggest value its about the same as leaving every 90 days for a couple weeks. It definitely costs more than doing border bounce every 90 days.

Word of advice about asking questions in this group, you may want to ask people if they have experience ... "Anybody have the elite, which site did you go through" Otherwise you get a lot of ignorant opinions. You'll see what I mean.

I came to Thailand 6 years ago and I have had no interest in leaving. Its a great place with many things to offer all types of people.

Many expat have long happy marriages. Several have short live miserable marriages. Marriage is what you make of it ( I wouldnt really know)

But you will not regret your time is Thailand. The people and the culture are all excellent and i would recommend to anybody.

Both airports have regulated taxis of sorts - very easy to avoid bad elements. Much safer here than in Manila.

There maybe thieves here in Thailand but they are so easy to find. You and your belongs will be safe. I am forever leaving my keys in my motorcycle. Girlfriend leaves her shopping bags on the motorcycle etc. You'll come across as a real asshole if you are overly concern. I did for the first month I was here.

HAHAHAHH -- "NON O" stands for "Non Immigration" The funny part is everything is non immigration. Its rather pointless. "Non O - B" or "Non O- O" some times "Non O - Type O". The informal names are less confusing, Marriage Visa, Employment Visa, Retirement Visa

No - That's only in the western world. My bank does online banking but to perform some/many operations I need to do the Two-Factor-Authentication. They send me a text I enter it in the computer. Thats usually for transferring funds to other banks or creating third party accounts. Hence, I need to be in Thailand with my Thailand bank account, and my Thailand phone.

Recently I had to replace my cash-card, I had to do it in person.

My cash card not be used online - although that might be a security feature.

If you are in the USA (maybe North America eg: USA + Canada + Mexico) - you will do well get google voice number. That would be for more long term live in Thailand but it won't hurt to start using that number.

Also if you are in the US. It may do well to find a permanent address in Thailand. You can say you live and your wive's mother's house, for the short term. Having evidence residence maybe helpful.
