Hello, I’m in Thailand on a tourist visa and I wish to apply for a DTV. Do I must return back to my home country to be able to apply ? Can I apply whist I’m in Thailand ?
Hey folks! For those who don't fit the criteria for DTV but want to stay a few months, is there an option for 6-month tourist visa? I've heard of this and it feels like an urban legend because I'm not sure I know anyone who has actually gotten it (maybe I don't know anyone who has applied for it). If yes, which countries can successfully get a 6-month tourist visa? Thanks!
Hi everyone, I’d truly appreciate the group’s help.
I submitted DTV applications for my wife and kids (as dependents) at the Thai Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City 21 days ago (I already hold a DTV visa as a remote worker).
After 5 days, their applications changed to “Pending Approval”, and they’ve been stuck there for more than 2 weeks.
I’ve tried calling the consulate (no answer) and sent emails (no reply).
Does anyone know how to expedite this process? Or can anyone recommend an agent who has a direct line to the consulate?
Both myself and my wife got the DTV in the last 2 months. Both of us used our Brokerage statements rather than a checking or savings accounts. I hear alot of misinformation here so I figured this may help somebody.
Both of us went through the DC Thai consulate and submitted Schwab Brokerage statements. She had around 50K USD in the S&P500 (VOO/SPLG) and I have around 150k in the same.
No idea if crypto or random sketchy stocks would work like GME.
I’m wondering if anyone here has applied for a DTV through the Thai Consulate in Dubai?
I already submitted my application with a 6-month bank statement showing the required 500,000 THB, but I just got a message from the consulate asking for “other bank statements to support for 3 months as well.”
The thing is—I only have one account, and the big deposit was recently transferred from a family friend who’s supporting me. It was a genuine gift to help me meet the visa requirements. Now I’m not sure if they’re asking for:
* Another account?
* Or just suspicious about the large transfer and want more proof?
If anyone has been through something similar or applied via the Dubai consulate, I’d really appreciate your advice or experience!
Does anyone know the valid email address of the Thai Consulate in Vientiane, Laos? I have tried two of them, one had no response, another one’s address couldn’t be found.
