My current (Elite) visa ends on June 2nd. I'm planning to leave to Vietnam that exact same day and start my DTV application from there. Just wanted a confirmation from the experts here that staying until that day (June 2) is not considered a one-day overstay. Thanks!

Been doing a bunch of research and I’m struggling to figure out the right type of (long-stay) visa since we don’t fall neatly into any category.

Basically, I’m retired with a pension and some other passive income, but not yet 50 so the retirement visa isn’t an option. I don’t have a business, don’t plan to work for someone remotely, and ain’t about to put this beat up body through Muay Thai — so I don’t know if DTV is the right option either.

Any insights into what would work best for someone who just wants to live in Thailand until age-eligible for the retiement visa would be greatly appreciated! 🙏🏽

Hey DTV experts, I am 40 years old Indian male. Working in Bangkok in a tech job for past 6 years on Non-B visa. My crypto and stock investments did well in past few years. With that, and sufficient savings I am thinking to get retired in next few months.

So, my question is whether I can show my investment returns as regular income for DTV? I am also considering Elite visa but to me it appears complete waste of money.

Is it possible to get a Thai residence certificate less than 90 days after re-entry? I'm on a 5 year Elite visa. I've been here for a year, and already done a few 90 day reports, but I've recently re-entered. I need a residence certificate so I can renew my Thai driver's license, and everything I'm reading says I need a 90 day report after my most recent entry in order to get a residence certificate. It seems a bit silly that I have to wait 90 days to be able to renew my drivers license just because I recently left the country and came back. Is there any way around the 90 day report requirement for getting a residence certificate to renew my drivers license? I'm on Koh Phangan.
