If it was empty if shouldn't have taken an hour. I've been in the 200's que in Chattawattan and gotten out in an hour.

What is the TM30 immigration reporting process when staying at a private residence in Thailand?

Anyone who hosts foreigners for more than 24 hours is required to file a TM30. If you're staying with a friend, the owner of the house needs to file it, she can do it online. That said, if you're only there for 2 weeks and not going to go to immigration for any services, it won't matter.
