Who has applied at the Thai Embassy in HCMC, Vietnam recently and is currently waiting for an update or results? 🤔

My girlfriend and me are waiting for an update and are wondering how many other people in this group are currently in the same situation here in HCMC.

We submitted our applications on May 13, the status has been on "Pending Approval" since Friday.

Just curious how many people in here are currently in the same boat. Maybe leave a comment with your submission date so that we can collect some data points. ✌️

Good luck everyone! 🙏

Hi everyone,

we're flying to Thailand on July 17, and after researching different visa options, I feel that the DTV visa is the most suitable and future-proof solution for me and my family.

I have two questions regarding the financial requirement (500,000 THB / approx. €12,500):

1. Is it sufficient to have the money in the account at the time of application, even if it hasn’t been there for the full three months? I do have access to the required funds, but they’ve been held in other forms of investment (not in my current bank account). The money could be transferred to the account temporarily if needed, so the funds are available.

2. Do I need to show 500,000 THB per person, meaning a total of 2 million THB (~€50,000) for our family of four? Or is one combined proof of funds for the family sufficient and how much should it be?

Anyone with up-to-date info or experience would be a huge help,

thanks in advance!!

P.S. The application for the DTV is processed through the Thai Embassy in Frankfurt. My wife, my two children, and I are all German passport holders.

I have a couple of questions related to obtaining a 3months Non-Imm.O(marriage visa) in Thai Embassy in Vientiane.

Firstly, after applying through evisa sytem being in Vientiane, will I still need any official applications in paper as it was before to submit to thai Embassy in Vient.,or not?

Secondly, should I make the payment of 2000baht for the visa through the Thai Embassy in Vientiane before applying through evisa and attach that payment to the official evisa application?

Thirdly, How long(how many days) usually it takes for embassy to issue that visa if everything is in order and accepted by the immigration in Thailand?

Fourthly, is the any financial requirement (how many thousands baht) should an applicant has in his Thai banking account ,if any?); and,if this financial proof should be issued by the thai bank or it is enough to attach the copy of the bank book to evisa application?

Furtheremore, I live in Thailand for many years on Non-Imm O visa(marriage visa), but it will be the 1st time when I need to go to Laos to apply for this type of visa using eVisa system, and this is why I ask so many questions.

Kindly let me know with all detailed and current requiremnts.

Thank you so much for any piece of inf.

Hi! Quick question for those who contacted Hanoi’s thai embassy by email: did you receive an immediate automated response acknowledging reception of your message?

I have contacted other embassies before and I always received an auto reply right after to confirm reception.

That was not the case when I reached out to consular.han@mfa.go.th and thaiembassy.han@mfa.go.th a few days ago. Of course I’m not expecting a quick response to my inquiry, but I’m now wondering if they received my email at all.

Just curious to know your experience (and if you successfully communicate with them by email eventually?).

Thank you!

I want to share my experience in getting my Non-O Dependent/Spouse visa (husband is not a Thai and is on a Non-B visa).

I booked a trip to Malaysia (with a flexi return ticket), I completed the entire application online except for where proof of the country you're in/applying in needs to be uploaded (entry stamp) before leaving.

Once I arrived in Malaysia the evening of the 5th, I uploaded my entry stamp page and made the payment. On the initial application you need to only upload the biometric page of your passport, and 2 days later they requested a copy of my entire passport, including the cover and blank pages, to be uploaded. The following day they requested a copy of my husband's company registration document which I uploaded on Friday morning, and by 18h10 Friday evening I received my approval.

All in all, the application process was easy, and really without any issues, and only took a total of 4 days. I also previously corresponded via email with the Thai Embassy in Malaysia with some questions I had, and they were very responsive. The advice was also not to make use of an agent as it really isn't necessary and a waste of money (I guess it's just easier to use a lawyer or agent for business registrations etc.)

My rookie mistake was to think I didn't need to apply for the TDAC because of my visa, but I had to do that when I checked in at KLIA, again, very easy.

Most people will advise to do the visa applications in Laos, but you don't need a visa for Malaysia (just the MDAC) saving on the visa fee, I enjoyed it more than I did Vientiane (where we applied for my husband's Non-B), and the flights are also much more affordable than Laos (from CNX).

P.S. Every single person at the immigration counters at CNX was asked for proof of exit/return ticket and some were not allowed entry without booking flights. So for those coming for an "extended holiday", be prepared with entering with some form of onward travel.

DTV visa - workation, approved in Taipei!

Sharing my experience as this group has been super useful!

I'm Spanish, applied for DTV workation in Taipei on the 30th April with:

- employment contract

- past 6 months salary

- bank statement showing 500k

- passport copy and ID picture

- Airbnb in Taipei

4hours later I've submitted the application I got a request to provide:

- certificate of arrival in Taipei from national agency

- company registration certificate (company is from Europe)

So the following day, I went to the national agency in person, got the certificate of arrival within 30mins, paid €3 then submitted it with company certificate online.

24hours later I've received a request for interview mid-May, so 15days later that my application.

I've emailed Taipei agency asking for another date (sooner) and after few days of waiting ... they've agreed to interview me on the 9th May. (You can't call them online email)

I've showed up at the Taipei Thai embassy with all the documents printed (same as those submitted online - printing is mandatory), waited for 45minutes, then got interviewed for 10minutes about the business of my employer (SaaS) and my role.

2hours later I've received the approval via email.

Lesson learned: do not book your return flight too soon (like I did) as it's now common to request for interviews in Taipei (4 other people were interviewing that day before me for DTV).

➡️Total days from online application to approval: 10 days

Hope my experience will be useful to some of you!
