Hi I am after some info on the TM30 immigration reporting , this next trip I will be staying with friends at there house and wondering if the TM30 report that is normally done by hotels is still a thing and how do you do it if staying at a private residence,  it is only for 2 weeks

I stay at my gf's house for several days when visiting. They have never had to do a TM30. There are no snitches in her village. Just be careful who you can trust

Anyone who hosts foreigners for more than 24 hours is required to file a TM30. If you're staying with a friend, the owner of the house needs to file it, she can do it online. That said, if you're only there for 2 weeks and not going to go to immigration for any services, it won't matter.

that's what I was hoping , I remember reading something about if it's only for a week or 2 then it's not really a problem but wasn't sure

its not the week or two that doesn't matter, its if you will have no interaction with immigration office/police you wont be asked to produce it.
