I think I stepped into an alternate universe today! I went for my 30 day visa tourist extension in Bangkok at the IT square mall in Lak Si…it was practically empty at 1:40pm. No line in the paperwork que, walked right up, and when I got my number there was only 9 people ahead of me! I was done in less than 1 hour with stamped passport back in hand! I was shocked! Miracles do exist!!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their surprisingly positive experience extending their 30-day tourist visa at the IT Square Mall in Lak Si, Bangkok. They noted the mall was nearly empty, allowing them to finish the process in under an hour despite previous expectations of long waits. Other comments included mixed experiences at different locations, reflections on the current state of tourism in Thailand, and discussions about visa regulations and documentation.
This was my first time and same thing, I finished my form and got my que card and they go your up now, so went straight in, 2 mins, at the counter and done, oh but then had to pay one day overstay fee, then oopp done
Tourism is dead in Thailand atm due to the baht being inflated and shit going on in many other countries. Add the extension of exempt from 30 to 60 days for most foreigners visiting.
was having this conversation about the Baht being strong when my home currency has gone up against Yen, USD, Canadian, yet it has made no ground on the cross rate against the Baht! How is that possible? What is the factors that keeps the Baht high? Would like to hear your insights
There's always gotta be that guy 🫠 anyways.... That's always so nice when that happens!!! It's not often, but definitely gotta appreciate it when it does!
