Hi guys.

I was living in Thailand for 3 yrs on a work permit that ended late March.

I have dual nationality and left Thailand on the passport that my work permit was on.

I have returned early April on my other passport, Reason for changing passports was simply because my other one was full.

I will be leaving Thailand in the next few days to apply for my DTV.

Has anyone had any experience with changing passports etc, just worrying that it might look suspicious even though Thai immigration had no issues with it.

Hi! I have the DTV on my current passport. However, my passport is almost full and I’m about to renew it. How will this affect the approval page that I submit at immigration in the airport? It has my current passport number and I’m worried it may cause problems once I have a new passport. Has anyone walked through this yet? Can I do something at immigration? Or is it not a problem as long as my visa gets moved to my new passport? Thanks!

DTV approved in London. Wife applied first as workcation showing work/income documents etc. Hers was approved in 3 days then I applied as spouse with her DTV number and showed marriage certificate and certified translation (we were married in Italy). They requested further documentation from me, original Italian marriage certificate and an apostilled translation. Got these in 3 days and resent to Thai embassy and approved the next day. Landed on Tuesday this week from London with no issues at the airport. Also we had no return ticket out of here and it wasn’t asked for, heard a few people have been asked for them though, some have even had to buy one at the airport before entry allowed. Something to be mindful about.

I'll try to make this as succinct as possible:

* 15Mar: Arrived BKK on a Non-O, staying in a private residence, TM30 submitted

* 25Mar: Got the "official" TM30 from immigration, this allowed me to open bank account, deposited 800K THB that day.

* 30May: Planning visit to immigration to get 1 year extension for Non-O

* 12Jun: Current Non-O stamp in passport expires

Questions:

* What do I need to do to have a smooth experience with immigration on 30May?

* I know I have to go to my bank and get...something??? Official letter? Stamp in my passbook? Something else?

* Do I need to do ANYTHING else other than proof of funds? Refresh the TM30? Etc?

I assume I can initiate this as soon as the funds have "seasoned" i.e. 2 months in bank. I don't want to wait until the last minute and have my current visa expire due to issues with immigration.

Thanks...

Hi everyone, looking for advice about getting a child dependent visa.

My daughter is 1, born in Thailand (not Thai). My visa supplied by an international school. Was advised that we didn't need a visa for her as she cannot overstay but the last time we entered we were held up for half an hour and told very sternly by immigration that we must sort out her visa. Apparently she cannot have certain types of visa as she is under 3.

Is there any way of doing this from inside Thailand and we're about nervous about getting back in again! Also the visas my work have suggested are only valid 90 days so don't seem like a straightforward option if we need to keep leaving to renew them.

Very grateful for any advice, thank you!

I’m married to a Thai woman and I’m here on a 90 day non O visa and have set up a bank account and deposited 900,000 baht so more than the 400,000 baht requirement. I still have to wait until June 13th before this will become seasoned. What other documents will be required to apply myself for the 1 year marriage visa extension. Is it as listed below 👇

Gather all the necessary documents for the extension, including:

Application form T.M. 7 (available at the Immigration Office).

Passport and a copy of your passport.

Marriage certificate and copies.

Proof of income or financial stability (e.g., bank statements showing 400,000 THB or a monthly income of 40,000 THB).

Copy of your Thai spouse's ID card and house registration papers (Tabian Baan).

Photos of you and your spouse together, including inside and outside of your residence.

A map showing your address in Thailand.

Also when my money reaches seasoning on the 13th June I’m a little concerned about the length of time it takes to process? As my 90 day visa will expire on the 7th July. What do I do if I have not received notification that it’s been approved by then. Do I over stay and pay fine whilst I wait or go and spend some time in laos and come back on a tourist visa of which I believe I will only be allowed to stay for 50 days as I’ve been here twice this year now and will have spent 130 days here on my 2 trips in total.

Any accurate information would be greatly appreciated, sorry it’s long winded.

DTV visa - workation, approved in Taipei!

Sharing my experience as this group has been super useful!

I'm Spanish, applied for DTV workation in Taipei on the 30th April with:

- employment contract

- past 6 months salary

- bank statement showing 500k

- passport copy and ID picture

- Airbnb in Taipei

4hours later I've submitted the application I got a request to provide:

- certificate of arrival in Taipei from national agency

- company registration certificate (company is from Europe)

So the following day, I went to the national agency in person, got the certificate of arrival within 30mins, paid €3 then submitted it with company certificate online.

24hours later I've received a request for interview mid-May, so 15days later that my application.

I've emailed Taipei agency asking for another date (sooner) and after few days of waiting ... they've agreed to interview me on the 9th May. (You can't call them online email)

I've showed up at the Taipei Thai embassy with all the documents printed (same as those submitted online - printing is mandatory), waited for 45minutes, then got interviewed for 10minutes about the business of my employer (SaaS) and my role.

2hours later I've received the approval via email.

Lesson learned: do not book your return flight too soon (like I did) as it's now common to request for interviews in Taipei (4 other people were interviewing that day before me for DTV).

➡️Total days from online application to approval: 10 days

Hope my experience will be useful to some of you!

Hi All, I'm on a Non O Retirement visa extension out of Chiang Mai. I'm thinking of moving to Pattaya. Can I do my next annual extension down there, or do I have to start afresh with a totally new Visa from there?

I live in Bangkok and on Visa free entry. I want to start retirement visa process. I plan to use an agent.

Is there any downside to using an agent in Jometien?
