Hi everyone, planning to arrive in Thailand with a Non-O visa at which point I need to open a bank account. I understand that the bank will require a certificate of residence issued by immigration.

My question is, if I am staying in a hotel for the first few weeks, assuming the hotel has submitted my TM30, will I experience any difficulties in obtaining the certificate of residence? Or will immigration expect a lease agreement to issue the certificate of residence?

In short, can one obtain a certificate of residence from immigration if they are staying in a hotel? Thank you!

I intend to enter Thailand with an approved visa. All my documents are scanned and not physically printed.

Could this be a problem when entering Thailand? Should I print everything? Or is it enough for them to be scanned and I can show them from my mobile if they ask?

When is the "best" time to go to the immigration office for my first 90 day report, with the understanding that there is never actually a good time to go? 😂 Weekday morning, I presume? I'm in Bangkok.

I was supposed to extend my extension of stay based on marriage a month ago, but I messed up the seasoning of funds due to some banking fees and card charges and the amount dipped under the 400k.

Since I didn't have much time to plan an alternative I flew out, stayed in another country for a few days and flew back in on a visa exempt entry.

I then started to prepare the documents for my new initial Non-O. I followed a document that is available on the immigration website and it indicated that I pretty much just need the 400k in the bank on the day of the application.

When I went to the Chiang Mai immigration office to ask for their list of requirements, they gave me a paper that lists "proof of saving transfer from abroad".

So which is it? Do they really require this proof of funds transferred from abroad? My funds have been in Thailand for a few years now and have been transferred between bank accounts, so proving that isn't really an option now.

Can't really see any other way forward other than sending it out and back in again. Thoughts?

Another one. The document online says I should apply at least 15 days before my current stamp expires, whereas the Chiang Mai immigration's document says "at least 15 working days" quite the difference.

1 year extension of stay at Rayong immigration in my case #5. You can get extension within 20 Minutes, in my case just 15 minutes if you are well prepared and your paperwork is according to the very simple immigration requirements .

1. Go there on Wednesday or Thursday ( my experience in Rayong)

2. Have all required documents ready on hand

3. Proper dress

4. No need for agent

5. Make sure you have latest Bank statements (12 months + Bank letter) available as well as updated (same day as application) ATM update.

6. My recommendations only applies if you meet the $$$ or affidavid requirements.

By the way, it took me just 1 hour to complete TM 7, drive to copyshop and get the documents done since they are always same. One hour per year, not bad, child labour, Kindergarden

Question for the group. I have a non O visa that I'm hoping to get a 1 year extension as my wife is Thai. Living in the Samut Sakhon area and my 90 day visa runs out on the 28th of July. I'll have the 400K baht in my bank for 2 months as of the 13th. In your experience is 2 weeks enough time to process that application (as I read online it sometimes takes 3 weeks) and what options do I have if there isn't enough time? Sorry if this is a dumb question I could find easily online but I didn't see anything.

Online 90 day report

Due date is 16/07. Applied online on 3rd but was rejected as "The data you submitted is not valid".

Applied again on the 4th with the same result.

I have applied many times online using the same data (address etc) and have not travelled anywhere in the last 3 months.

Any suggestions what I'm doing wrong?
