Hi I’m arriving this Wednesday with my newly acquired METV . Can I ask if my passport will be stamped in the same format as my previous ones ( which were the tourist exempt stamps ) or will my stamp be different ?
I’m only asking in order that when I pass through immigration I can check I have been given the correct stamp and duration of 60 days as I understand if I don’t check before leaving the immigration desk I can’t change it later if it’s incorrect.
Please guys no acidic or rude comments about this subject as this is a concern for an overthinker like me . Thanks in advance 👍
I hope to get some answers here from people who have experience with KL. (I read too late that it was the worst)
I applied for the DTV on the 06.11.2025 and they requested additional documents on the 10.11.2025 since there was a weekend in between. I uploaded all the documents the same day in the evening and since then heard nothing, no additional questions or requests.
But it's been 6 working days and since KL doesn't communicate I wanted to get some realistic time frames.
How long did it take for you guys to get approved after additional documents? I've read so many different things and really want only answers from people with KL experience.
Just sharing my DTV journey - I have entered for 3 times within a year of receiving DTV. Today, I landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), and felt a bit worried due to recent declaration of stricter screening especially to the travelers who enter Thailand with Visa exemption scheme although DTV holders are not in targeted list. But, the whole immigration process took place so quickly. I handed my passport, the boarding pass, the printed eVisa and completed TDAC in my phone (Officer even didn’t look at my phone as my TDAC already appeared in his computer after scanning my passport). He didn’t ask any questions, scanned my passport & the barcode of my eVisa, stamped for 180 day stay and finished. That’s totally different with the 1st time of entry that I was individually interviewed by the officer in charge of the border checkpoint (I entered Thailand with the DTV for the first time through border crossing from Cambodia), and I even missed the bus due to interviewing, long waiting time to finish immigration clearance to other travelers and interrogation to other travelers before me. This means 1st time is to be careful while the process is quite straightforward in subsequent times of reentries.
Upon leaving BKK recently on a non O visa with a re-entry stamp. I was directed away from the e gates to an immigration officer by staff, after showing her the stamp.
Although I intended to go that route anyway, I have no idea if it makes any difference just wanted to share it.
My 2nd 90-day report is due on 13 November, but I will leave the country on 17 November. Since it’s still within the 7-day grace period after the 13th, should I still do my 2nd 90-day report, or can I just leave the country on the 17th? Will there be any problems?
I did my first report prior 4 days before the due date,
My visa will be expired nov 18th, but my 90 days report due nov 13th. So there is no overstay
Hi, I'm hoping to get a Thai driver's license. I'm a DTV holder and I live at my wife's condo in BKK. I have a Canadian DL and valid IDP. The specific question I have is regarding the residence certificate - I understand I get this from the immigration office at Chang Wattana. Can I book an on-line appointment time for this? And what specifically do I need to bring? Passport, pictures, TM16 application form, TM30 are straightforward, what I'm not sure about is "proof of residence"). A lot of out-dated and conflicted info on-line......thanks
